If you want a good deal on NFL Sunday Ticket in 2023, you’re going to need to move quickly.
YouTube TV, which along with YouTube, is the new exclusive home for the popular football channel package, recently unveiled its pricing structure for the upcoming season.
There are built-in pricing advantages for subscribers to the live TV streaming service. And it gets even cheaper if you’re willing to fork over your money during the preseason sale.
You could secure NFL Sunday Ticket in 2023 for as little as $249, but that discount doesn’t last long.

YouTube and YouTube TV Are Now the Exclusive Home of NFL Sunday Ticket
In case you missed it, Google acquired the exclusive rights for NFL Sunday Ticket beginning with the upcoming 2023 NFL season. The tech giant will make the football package available via both YouTube and YouTube TV.
This service offers viewers a chance to stream out-of-market NFL games on Sunday afternoons during the football regular season. (You’ll still need access to local CBS and FOX broadcasts for in-market Sunday afternoon games, as well as Prime Video, NBC and ESPN for Thursday, Sunday and Monday Night Football broadcasts, respectively.)
Previously, NFL Sunday Ticket was offered exclusively by DIRECTV. It required a satellite subscription (or a special exemption) to enjoy the out-of-market broadcasts as an add-on package.
Now, for the first time ever, the NFL package will be available to non-satellite TV subscribers. You don’t even need a YouTube TV subscription to buy it, though you’ll find the pricing is more favorable if you do.
“Regardless of where you purchase, NFL Sunday Ticket will be available across web, TV, mobile and tablet devices that support YouTube and YouTube TV, with no hidden fees or satellite dish needed,” says Christian Oestlien, YouTube TV’s Vice President of Product Management.
YouTube TV Subscribers Will Receive NFL Sunday Ticket Discount
After months of anticipation, YouTube unveiled its pricing model for its first season of NFL Sunday Ticket.
There are four pricing tiers based on two major factors: Are you a YouTube TV subscriber or not? And do you want access to the NFL RedZone channel?
NFL RedZone is a channel which automatically moves you from dramatic moments in all of the games without having to manually change the channel between individual game broadcasts. It is available as part of the Sports Add-On package for $10.99 per month.

The good news:
- Early birds can secure a $100 discount on any of the four packages if you are willing to purchase by June 6, 2023.
- YouTube TV base package subscribers will save $100 versus people who purchase without the live TV package.
The bad news:
- Non-YouTube TV subscribers will pay more for the package than it previously cost on DIRECTV.
- All subscribers are going to have to pay a $40 premium to receive NFL RedZone alongside the Sunday Ticket package.
Ultimately, the fact that you don’t have to pay for a live TV streaming service or satellite package to gain access to NFL Sunday Ticket is a win for football fans even if it costs a little bit of a premium.
